Participant Fund Up

Participant funding of their network accounts via Central Bank (or similar Funds Controller) settlement accounts

Funds used to transact on the RTGS.global network will be held in settlement accounts at the domestic Central Bank or similar Funds Controller within a jurisdiction. Physical funds will need to be transferred into the settlement account, which can then be reflected on the RTGS.global network in a specific network account.

To fund a network account:

  1. The participant transfers funds into the RTGS.global settlement account at the Central Bank or similar Funds Controller, including destination network account details in the credit information

  2. RTGS.global is notified of the credit, and reflects the credit balance on the appropriate network account

  3. A camt.054 notification is sent to the participant to confirm credit of funds to their network account

Current methods of notification when a credit is applied to the settlement account will be manual, until an automated process is in place whereby notifications of credit can be forwarded to RTGS.global by the Funds Controller via their gateway.
